Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that everyone experiences every day, often more than once. Have you ever tried talking to someone who is watching TV and found it hard to get their attention? This is a naturally occurring trance state.
Several years ago Carolyn completed her Certificate of Modern Hypnosis course with The Tad James Company in Sydney.
During the course students would take it in turns to hypnotise each other, practising all the different techniques that they had learned. During one of these sessions, a student asked to be hypnotised to be able to memorise the piano music that they played. The student had been playing the piano since they were quite young, but they had never been able to play from memory, no matter how well they knew the song.
After the hypnosis session the student picked the sheet music of one of their favourite songs, and after about 45mins of practice, had learnt 2 pages of the music off by heart! They later reported back to the group that they have since learnt the whole song, as well as several others!
Hypnotherapy can help with many issues, including giving up smoking, weight loss, and stress reduction, to name only a few.
